Template General_Purpose.dbc does not exist.

Template General_Purpose.dbc does not exist. Please specify an existing template for database creation.

I got this error during the Installation of  11gR2.Did Install /UnInstall couple of times , but not able to resolve the issues.

Latter I Unzip both the Files Disk1/2 in One folder  ( Copied the Files Disk2>database>stage>components , in same location of Disk1).

And able to install it sucessfully.

    Hey thanks alot...it helped alot..i found this info from various ppl but nobody cleared that which files are to be thrown in which folder..but its clear that all the components should be put together...

    Thanks! This stopped me from another round of swearing at Oracle. I am sure something else will come up but this helped me over this hurtle.

    I am trying to install oracle 11g into a VM. I unzipped both into the same directory *several* times. After each failure, I go back and try again - still no luck.

    when i got this message, i retried a couple of times and click on next. now my database installation is complete. How can i rectify this problem?

    You need to uninstall database and install it again. Go to Oracle_Home>>Deinstall and run Deinstall

    Unable to uninstall previous incomplete versions - when to Oracle_Home (a\app\alani\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\deinstall and clicked on deinstall

    A command opened and later closed but all installed products can still be seen

    Any ideas?

    template general _purpse dbc not exist ;I get this message during installation of oracle database 11 g I have downloaded the zip file from oracle site and latter unzip the file but no progress!
    please help me to solve this problem ;if you write the answer in step better.

    I have followed the step:

    La plantilla General_Purpose.dbc no existe. Especifique una plantilla existente para la creación de la base de datos.

    Recibí este error durante la instalación de 11gR2. Lo instalé / desinstalé un par de veces, pero no pude resolver los problemas.

    Posteriormente, descomprimo los Archivos Disco 1/2 en una carpeta (Copié los Archivos Disco2> base de datos> etapa> componentes, en la misma ubicación del Disco1).
